This is our resource center for all the plans that we handle, from intricate guitar building plans to bending jigs, molds, gluing jigs and clamps.
We will also post our free plan stuff here as well – and that is a list that is growing every week, so stop by our Plan Shop and we can fix you up.

Guitar Template Sets
Guitar Template Sets are now available for each of the guitar plans listed below. I would recommend that these plans be reproduced and glue these template layouts over plexiglas or lexan plastic and carefully and accurately cut the templates out for a lifetime luthier’s tool.
Each Template Set will include the following templates:
Top Bracing Layout Template: This Template locates each brace and brace end, eliminating any mis-alignment of baces, sound-hole or reinforcing strips.
Fret Layout Template: All frets laid out and dimensioned ready for you to load into a fret template jig or hand cut on your own.
Headpiece Template: for headpiece contour and accurate tuning machine layouts.
Neck Layout Template: Use this for easily roughing out your neck, heel, and neck joints, plut the foot on the Classical Guitar.
Side Contour Template: This is worth the price of the set alone! This side contour can be cut out and laid directly on your guitar sides and you can automatically cut the correct back arch and taper on your sides without trial and error.

Guitar Inside Form/Guitar Assembly Work Board Plans:
Brand New! We now are making plans available for making great Inside Forms and Work Boards for each of our ultimate guitar building guitar shapes. Each plan set will include detailed top, side and end drawings of the very inside form that I have developed years ago. It is in the same quality and definition as the guitar plans listed herein. Also we have included as a bonus, the all important Guitar Assembly Work Board. The tool we can’t do without for making a fine guitar.

J45 Style Acoustic Guitar:
These Guitar Building Plans are similar to a Gibson J45 vintage guitar w/ 14 fret neck, scalloped top tone bracing, neck that is a bit wider than normal, backward bell bridge and round shouldered top bouts. This is an incredible flatpick or fingerstyle guitar right from 1942, when Gibson first introduced it.

HD-28VS Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
These Guitar Building Plans are similar to a HD-28VS Martin vintage guitar w/ 12 fret neck, scalloped top bracing, wide fingerpicking style neck, classic Martin style prism bridge and vintage Vee style neck joint. 000-28VS Vintage Series Guitar:

This is an incredible fingerstyle guitar right out of the 1930′s and 1940′s in the true vintage style.

000 Concert or Parlor Guitar:
These Guitar Building Plans are for a 000 size or otherwise known as a Parlor or Concert Acoustic Guitar. It makes an ideal older child guitar and young teen guitar as the smaller size is easier for them to get a good grasp on the guitar. The tone is not as “fat” as the dreadnought, which is shown on the plan below but it will give a well-balanced sound.

Dreadnought Guitar:
The Dreadnought Guitar Building plans are patterned after the D-18 & D-28 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar popularized by the C.F.Martin company in the 1930’s. It is the standard in Bluegrass music, but is used universally in rock, country, folk and much more. This plan has a 14 fret neck to the body and 25.4″(645.2mm) scale.

Grand Auditorium Guitar:
The Grand Auditorium or Grand Concert Guitar Building Plans are patterned after the Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar popularized by the Taylor Guitar company it is also similar to the Martin J Series and Is is one of the largest bodied guitars. This plan has a 14 fret neck to the body and 25.4″(645.2mm) scale.

Jumbo J200 or JM Acoustic Guitar:
The Jumbo or J200 Acoustic Guitar Building Plans are patterned after the Gibson J200 Series Acoustic Guitar. This is one of the largest bodied guitars you will find, with big booming bass. This plan also is similar to the Taylor JM Series. This plan has a 14 fret neck to the body and 25.4″(645.2mm) scale.

Grand Auditorium 12 String Guitar:
The Grand Auditorium or Grand Concert Guitar Building Plans are patterned after the Martin Grand J Series Acoustic Guitar popularized by the C.F.Martin company, the very popular J200 timeless design from the Gibson Co. and the Taylor Grand Auditorium 12, which is in my opinion, one of the best 12-strings out there.

Kasha Braced Classical Guitar:
These Guitar Construction Plans are for a classical guitar that has the same body dimensions as the Ramirez plan, but with a radically different top bracing pattern. The bracing is based on the Schneider/Kasha pattern and will give a very loud volume to the guitar. Have fun with this one and do some experimenting.

Ramirez Braced Classical Guitar:
These Guitar Building plans are for a standard concert sized classical guitar plan. All dimensions and body shape dimensions match the Jose Ramirez Concert model. The bracing pattern is a modified fan with an angled main just behind the soundhole. Fan braces are modified for treble reinforcement.

Torres Braced Classical Guitar:
These Guitar Construction Plans are for a classical guitar that has the same body dimensions as the Ramirez plan in Plan 1 above, but with the Torres traditional top fan bracing pattern. The bracing is based on the bracing pattern that Torres made popular and is probably the most used bracing pattern used in classical guitar construction.

Bouchet Braced Classical Guitar:
These Guitar Construction Plans are for a classical guitar that has the same body dimensions as the Ramirez Plan 1 above, but with the Robert Bouchet top fan bracing pattern. The bracing is based on the bracing that he used on his unique guitars. You will find they have great volume & sustain.
